Pastor Cathy S. Banks has always had a desire to be in ministry, especially music ministry. Se sang in church choir all of her teenage years and also as an adult, but Cathy felt a stronger call on her life concerning her music ministry.

In 1991 she began working on her first CD release called "At The Name". This CD open many doors for Cathy she was able to pursue her career as a recording artist. Cathy found that her singing ministry was taking her places that she had never been before. She had the opportunity to travel both national and international and meet and perform with many great names in the Gospel Music Industry.

Cathy and her husband felt a calling from God to plant a ministry called Living Word Christian Center. The ministry started in their living room. Cathy and her husband decided to move the ministry to her hometown of Lake Charles LA. and now the ministry is striving and growing by leaps and bounds. Cathy now serves as Executive Pastor, Director of Life Christian University and music director over LWCC praise team. She is continuing to spread the good news through the word and song.

Cathy is the founder of Women of Destiny which is a ministry geared towards helping women achieve their God given Purpose and Destiny. Women of Destiny also focus's on improving a women's self esteem through mentoring programs and conferences through out the year.

Cathy is now ministering the word of God at various conferences throughout the country. She is continuing to work on releasing anointed music to the world and is looking forward to what God's plans are for her in the future.
